Compatible substrates include GRP, marine plywood, stainless steel, and steel or aluminium protected with suitable anti-corrosion coatings. Verify adhesion and compatibility under actual conditions.<\/p>\n<h3>Application<\/h3>\n<h4>Surface preparation<\/h4>\n<p>Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil, dust and contaminants. Substrate treatment is essential for durable bonding; follow the relevant Sika\u00ae Pre-treatment Chart and confirm by testing.<\/p>\n<h4>Application<\/h4>\n<p>Apply over large areas with a notched spreader, using a notch depth of approximately 4 mm. The current Sikaflex\u00ae-298 guidance specifies processing at 10\u201335 \u00b0C, preferably 15\u201325 \u00b0C, with approximate consumption of 1.2 l\/m\u00b2.<\/p>\n<h4>Removal<\/h4>\n<p>Remove uncured adhesive with Sika\u00ae Remover-208 or another suitable solvent.
