Areas of Application
A multipurpose marine construction sealant for elastic, vibration-resistant joints and interior sealing. It bonds well to common marine materials including wood, metals, metal primers, 2-component paint coatings, ceramics and GRP. It must not be used on plastics prone to stress cracking, such as PMMA or PC, without confirming compatibility by testing.
Application
Surface preparation
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil and dust. Select the pre-treatment according to the substrate and verify it on the actual materials.
Application
Process between 10 °C and 40 °C; the preferred substrate and sealant temperature is 15–25 °C. Apply with a hand, pneumatic or electric piston gun.
Tooling and finishing
Tool within the skin time. Sika® Tooling Agent N is recommended; test other finishing agents for suitability and compatibility before use.
