Areas of Application
Developed for bonding and sealing plastic glazing in boats and ships and for exposed exterior joints. Suitable substrates include bright or anodized aluminium, GRP, stainless steel, timber, 2-component coatings and glazing plastics such as PC and PMMA. Confirm adhesion and stress-cracking compatibility on the actual substrate.
Application
Surface preparation
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil, dust and contamination. Choose the treatment from the appropriate Sika® Pre-treatment Chart and verify it on the original substrates.
Application
Process between 10 °C and 35 °C, preferably at 15–25 °C. Condition the adhesive at ambient temperature and apply a triangular bead for a uniform bond line. Follow the relevant glazing application guide and pre-treatment chart.
Tooling and finishing
Complete tooling within the skin time and test any finishing agent for compatibility before use.
