Areas of Application
Suitable for structural marine joints exposed to high dynamic loads. It bonds metals, including anodized aluminium, metal primers, 2-component paint coatings, ceramics and plastics such as GRP and ABS. Test actual substrates to confirm adhesion and material compatibility.
Application
Surface preparation
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil and dust. Select substrate-specific pre-treatment using the current Sika® chart and verify the recommendation on the original materials.
Application
Process between 10 °C and 40 °C, preferably at 15–25 °C. At low temperature, condition the adhesive before use and apply a triangular bead to obtain a consistent bond-line thickness.
Tooling and finishing
Carry out tooling within the skin time. Test finishing agents before use to ensure compatibility.
